Dougie Smith, one of our UK Trustees, is once again organising a fun quiz night to raise funds for improving the sports facilities at Shanti Niketan International School in Assagao, where the children from our homes attend. It’ll be football themed and held at Billericay Town FC on Friday 29 May 2026. Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
As you can see, the current pitch is very uneven and worn away so requires renovating and rebuilding, which all comes at a cost, and so we’re raising money to help with this.
The children love being involved with sports, especially football and cricket, and the new layout will incorporate a cricket pitch within the football pitch, so everyone will be able to get the benefit of playing their chosen sport. This area also gets used for sports days and other events so a very worthwhile cause to raise some funds for.
