Long time supporter, Louise Wainwright, along with the Knit and Natter ladies of Garswood, organised and held a Charity Fashion Show in aid of El Shaddai and helped raise funds for Little Acorns Day Shelter.

The show took place at Garswood Football Club on Friday 27 June with Garswood Football Club very kindly donating the venue for free so that Louise and the ladies could strut their stuff down the catwalk and enjoy a fabulous evening.
Louise gave an overview about the work of El Shaddai and how all the funds generated by her and the ladies are raised by selling pre-loved items on re-sale sites which has enabled some much needed equipment to be purchased over the years for the children at Little Acorns.

The ‘models’ were mostly well into their 70’s, with a few younger exceptions, who all enjoyed themselves. The evening culminated in a ‘Grand Finale, played exclusively for laughs, which this year was a take on synchronised swimming, helping to make it an unforgettable evening full of fun, laughter and cheers.

Tea, coffee, cakes and rails of clothes and accessories were all available to purchase on the night, for £3 or under, so many bargains were snapped up.
A fantastic £800 was raised throughout the evening and, added together with additional sales made on eBay and Vinted since March of £400, an amazing £1200 was raised in total.
Well done to Louise and the Ladies of Garswood!
